Teacher Education and School in Racism – A podcast project by GraL and KoNIR
The podcast “Teacher Education and School in Racism” is a joint project of the research groups Conditions for Successful Teacher Education Sensitive to Racism (GraL) and Continuities and New Configurations of Institutional Racism in Schools (KoNIR).
In eight episodes, the research projects provide insights into their research experiences and discuss the conditions and scope of their studies. In the conversations between the project staff, topics include speaking about racism, its supposed “normality,” and the relationship between racism and fear in schools and teacher education.
…In addition, topics such as “white” educational spaces and different dimensions of being affected by racism are explored in greater depth. The result is a polyphonic podcast that invites listeners to reflect, ask further questions, and learn together about teacher education and school in racism.
